Cleeve Hill & Common Family Walk

This was the first time I have visited this area for a walk and I came away with a smile on my face.
We followed the Cleeve Hill & Common walk publication on the ‘Escape to the Cotswolds’ website it was a great family friendly walk just the right length at 4 miles and enough interest to hold the attention of the kids, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Cleeve Cloud is also the highest point in the Cotswolds at 330m above sea, although we did not touch this point on this walk the highest we got on this particular route was 322m at the Solitary Tree. We had some great views out over Cheltenham and Bishops Cleeve with a hazy Malvern’s and a faint Black Mountains just visible on the distant horizon. After we finished we headed home and stopped for a well-deserved drink & bar snack at the Pheasant Inn in Toddington which rounded off a thoroughly enjoyable family day out.
