Welsh 3000 - Completed

Well we did it! The Welsh 3000 are officially ticked off the ‘to do list’. As I stated previously we never intended to do this in world record time, and the record holder can rest easy knowing their time still stands, as if it was ever under threat!

In short we camped out on Snowdon south ridge on Friday evening then on Saturday we completed the Snowdon and Glyder range (the walk up Elidir Fawr from Nant Peris – I doubt I will be rushing back to do that again.) then on Sunday we completed the challenge by walking the Carneddau with glorious views as far as the eye could see, which was about 50ft at best! Although we rested on the Saturday night the total ‘walking’ time was 17 hours.
Ryan did this walk to raise money for The Stroke Association and the money he has raised is rapidly approaching the £1000 mark double what he had hoped for, which is great news.
Photo of us is on the final summit, Foel-fras with our ‘Stroke’ t-shirts & at the end with a celbratory local ale. More photos and detailed trip report will follow once I recover……….

I'm stuffing a sausage roll hence the odd expression! Beer tasted nice!!
